Division achievements for 2007/2008
At the end of the year, all of the achievements for members and clubs are totted up. Many of these are recognisable under the Toastmasters Distinguished Club Programme. I will explain about this in a later post but essentially it is one key way that you, as a member, can tell that your club is running well. It rewards for the club for things you would hope your club would be doing - getting people educated, bringing in new members, ensuring club officers know their roles and making sure the membership dues are collected in a timely fashion. There are 3 levels of achievement under the plan:
Presidents Distinguished
Select Distinguished
Distinguished
Not all clubs are able to successfully reach the Distinguished Club Plan. This is why I wanted to acknowledge the amazing achievements of Division B last year under this plan. The results are as follows:

I think we can safely say that Division B was very well run in 2007/8!
This is a testament to the quality of leadership at each of the clubs last year. Likewise, our Division and Areas did a top job last year too. I am sure that I echo everyone’s thoughts in saying thank you to Dick Dixon, last year's Division Governor, for making it such a pleasure and success last year. A special word should also be said to his Assistant Division Governors, Iain Duthie and Yvonne Masset. Thank you all.
