The Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contests are now underway at many of our clubs. Area contests will take place next – details are available here.
The winners of these will take part in the London Division B finals. Today I can confirm the date and venue for this contests. The date is October 22nd and the venue is:
St Stephens Church Hall, 48 Emperor’s Gate, London SW7 4HJ

It looks as though the nearest tube station is Gloucester Road though your mileage may vary!
Doors will open at 6.30 with a formal start at 7pm prompt. The evening should be over by 9.15pm. I am sure that one or two of us may avail ourselves of a local hostelry after! (any good suggestions welcome!)
We are actually in the room marked Pooh Corner Kindergarten. Apparently there are dragons and all sorts of other wonderful creatures adorning the walls! Hopefully this will inspire our contestant’s sense of fun!
There is a small cost of £4 to all wishing to attend. This is to cover the cost of the venue plus basic refreshments.
There is limited seating for 120 people only. These events always attract big crowds so I suggest booking early! I’ll be surprised if this doesn’t sell out.
